Stainless steel housing is the hallmark of the Sapphire, the original residential coil treatment from American Ultraviolet.
The Sapphire remains an industry standard because of its stainless steel housings, high-output lamps, ease-of-installation and "lamp-out" indication visible through the housing. This two-lamp unit provides maximum UV dosage on a single coil and features:

Ask about our optional UV-emitting shatterproof coating, which provides an additional level of security and can be used
with all American Ultraviolet UVC systems. If broken, these lamps retain all fragments of quartz and mercury within the
sleeve and maintain the sterility of the HVAC environment.
Prolonged, direct exposure to UVC light can cause temporary skin redness and eye irritation, but does not cause skin cancer or cataracts. American Ultraviolet systems are designed with safety in mind and, when properly installed by a professional contractor, do not allow exposure to UV irradiation and allow for safe operation and maintenance.
