UVC Germicidal Lamps Validated for Two- Year
Performance
Lebanon, IN, March 22, 2007-
American Ultraviolet Company is proud to announce their
low-pressure standard, and high output quartz, UVC Germicidal Lamps
have been tested and validated to effectively perform for 17,000
hours (two years), when operated on high frequency electronic
ballasts from American Ultraviolet Company (including the company’s
Sapphire™, CC, CC-R, DC, TB, and Mobile Room Disinfection Series
units).
| This significant improvement in lamp life
performance allows our customers to operate their HVAC
fixtures for two years between lamp replacements. Therefore,
our customers’ annual maintenance cost for replacement
lamps, and the labor to change them out, is virtually cut in
half.
UVC Germicidal Lamps from American Ultraviolet Company
provide safe, direct exposure to 254nm UVC radiation, which,
when given appropriate exposure time, inactivates the DNA
and RNA of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, mold spores,
yeast and protozoa), making them unable to reproduce. The
resulting benefits include increased HVAC operating
efficiency, longer blower life and improved air quality.
