Germicidal Lamp Materials and Processing

Why is American Ultraviolet Better?

Germicidal lamps are not designed or manufactured equally- similarities end as soon as one begins a careful lamp inspection.

Quartz Tubing- American Ultraviolet carefully selects and uses only the finest hard glass tubing, yielding the highest UV transmittance possible. Many competitors use lesser purity hard glass or soft glass tubing, which exhibits documented lower UV output per lamp watt and shorter useful life. AUV lamps produce the highest UV outputs available.

Electrodes
- AUV manufactures its own electrode assemblies, thus maintaining rigid quality assurance.

Lamp Processing- One of the most critical steps in lamp production is Lamp Processing, which involves evacuating the lamp body while treating the filaments, and then dosing the proper amount and pressure of noble gases and mercury into the lamp. AUV's high speed machines are dedicated to this critical step. This process ensures consistently high quality lamps, order after order.

Quality RecordAmerican Ultraviolet's consistent manufacturing record of superior quality and reliability is achieved by design. AUV diligently maintains process controls and product controls in its relentless pursuit of the highest standards for our germicidal customers. Our unmatched quality record is known by our customers worldwide!
