Food & Beverage
American Ultraviolet designs and manufacturers many standard and custom UVC sterilization fixtures to protect food and beverages, including:
- LTC Series, designed to keep liquid sugar tanks, often called liquid storage tanks, safe; and are essential if any part of your operation involves storing sweeteners like High Fructose Corn Syrup, or water, to be used as ingredients in your products.
- Direct Fixtures, including the IP55 Utility Fixture, which is designed to meet IP55 rating standards, making it dust protected and suitable for washdown environments; and the CE Series of fixtures, which can be placed over and under conveyor lines to reduce any mold or bacteria from food, films, or container surfaces, prior to packaging.
- Air Movers, like the portable CleanBox™, which uses UVC light + HEPA filtration for enhanced food safety by reducing, removing, and eliminating unwanted microbial contaminants from the air in your space; and the FRESH+™ brand of ethylene scrubbers that remove ethylene gas, odors and microbial contamination to improve the quality and safety of fresh produce items throughout the cold chain.
- Custom Solutions: including UVC conveyors that treat foods, and/or packaging material, as they pass by lamps on the conveyor line; stand along pass-through tunnels that treat bottles used as beverage containers in order to increase product shelf life, and reduce contamination; and, through our partner, Fresh Plus International, custom solutions that reduce a wide range of pollutants (including ammonia), and odors (including smoke), and that also improve air quality in numerous agricultural and food processing applications.

Prolonged, direct exposure to UVC light can cause temporary skin redness and eye irritation. American Ultraviolet systems are designed with safety in mind and, when properly installed by a professional contractor, do not allow exposure to UV irradiation and allow for safe operation and maintenance.
